after being bitten by police dog and booked. happening right now a man hunt is under way. deputies are going door to door searching for 45-year-old shane miller. they believe he still may be hiding in the area along the coast. he suspected of shooting his wife and four and eight-year- old daughters in their home tuesday night. now people who live in the town of pa trolley were ordered to shelter in place yesterday after his truck was found. a memorial has sprung up at the home where sandy miller and her two daughters were killed. family and friends have left flowers and notes expressing their grief. no known motive for the shooting but deputies confirm they did respond to a domestic dispute at the home last month.

police department announcing his decision to resign. oakland area jean quan has can be the will follow the recommendations. th it's come up with a long list of recommendations to reduce oakland's scoring numbers -- soring numbers of shootings, robberies, and burglaries. that includes expanding the police department's investigative unit. the team also says oakland must do a far better job identifying crime hot spots and responding to crime trends. the report calls for dividing oakland into five separate districts to improve the city's overall. police officials say the raises are needed to attract

suspect wanted will this connection with a deadly family dispute. investigators are looking for 55-year-old louie garza of san jose. he shot 46-year-old ralph gomez inside a home. garza and gomez were reportedly cousins. the two got into an argument before the shooting. there is a search under way in southern california for four pit bulls suspected of fatally attacking a female jogger. the attack happened yesterday morning. the 63-year-old victim died

while she is being transported to the hospital. the dogs ran off when authorities arrived on the scene. their owner was arrested on charges of growing marijuana. time now 4:54. a monterey woman is facing charges of animal cruelty in what police are calling a case of animal hording. her house has been declared uninhabitable after police found 48 dogs and cats inside living this in filthy conditions. police say the animals were living in three feet of garbage and waste. they also found a cat locked in the trunk of her car. the spca is caring for the animals that are being treated for infections and severely malnourished. the last american idol judge is voting himself off the judge. >> i think the third time is definitely going to be a charm for you. what do you think? >> yesterday randy jackson

maybe drizzle out there. misty kind of drizzly. otherwise it will be clearing sooner today inland. although most locations say cloudy right now. high pressure is trying to build in. it's very cool along with a west, southwest wind. with that in place it's tough to warm up unless you are away from fog influence. bigger warmup will be over the weekend. high pressure will build in and squash that fog and burn it off sooner. for some no change at all. others it will be warmer. temperatures have been held in check the last couple of days. morning fog sunny. a westerly breeze. it will be warmer away from the coast. temperatures low 80s for some. a lot of low to mid 70s.
